Main and embedded clauses
quickinfo

By and large the B-construction is restricted to main clauses. There is an A-construction in nineteenth-century Frisian featuring the perfect participle of sille shall. This A-construction is mainly found in embedded clauses. Two main clauses which are not linked by a conjunct may nevertheless be construed paratacticall as the antecedent and consequent clause of a counterfactual construction.
